LDS Serial Polygamy

A lot of news has been broadcast about the Fundamentalist Church of Later Day Saints, FLDS. They are a “splinter” group of Mormons who practice polygamy and live in gated communities isolated from mainstream America. The reason for their hiding behind closed gates is because of a long history of persecution and attacks such as we have watched in Texas over the past weeks.

What about the other “mainstream” LDS, the Mormons of Salt Lake City. They officially renounced polygamy about a century ago when Utah was being considered for admission to the US as a State. Their beliefs behind their closed Temple doors are not quite as clear cut.

In “mainstream” LDS religion the way a female goes on to her afterlife of glory is to have a marriage to a good husband. Her marriage needs to be sealed in their Temple. Once an LDS marriage is sealed in the Temple it lasts for life and into the afterlife. A sealed LDS marriage is not dissolved by civil divorce.

These days, many LDS wives are modern feminist females. Many modern LDS wives file for “no fault” divorces for all the same trivial and emotional reasons that other modern females do. They have affairs, they feel bored, and want to “find myself.” In short, many mainstream Mormon wives have all the same failings and feminist dogma that other modern females have.

When a Mormon man finds himself divorced today he's in the same position as any other modern man. He loses his children and family. After a recovery period Mormon men who's wives have left them are tempted to find another wife. From a religious perspective they are still married to their first wife. The civil divorce does not dissolve the Mormon man's religious marriage that was sealed in the Temple. He is, however, allowed to take a second wife even though he still has a first wife according to their religious beliefs. From a religious perspective it amounts to a continuation of Mormon polygamy by the mainstream Mormons. Their practice has become serial polygamy, much like the rest of America under feminism. The difference is that Mormon theology does not allow religious divorce from the first wife, but does allow another marriage to a second or subsequent wife.

Some Mormon men are troubled by the apparent contradictions between their religious teaching about having a sealed marriage that extends after death and now having another wife. Some Mormon men are troubled because they would rather not be spiritually tied to the bitch who destroyed their family. In public they all say that the mainstream LDS church does not practice polygamy, but that inst' entirely true in their families and religious marriages. I'm just pointing this out because feminism has messed up the LDS as well as everyone else.

Bob,

Having been a former practicing LDS member who has commented about this on your site before, I must say that you have done your research well!

As you have correctly stated, the mainstream LDS church denounced polygamy in the 1890s so that Utah could join the union, however, polygamy is still practiced on a spiritual level in their temples? The irony here being, that a lot of the mainstream LDS members, famous ones in fact, (Such as the Osmonds) have been rather critical in the past of these polygamous splinter groups and were quick to distance the main church from these outside groups?

You are spot on about a lot of these modern LDS women being feminists! I was a bit surprised by this myself as the Main church still encourages traditional male/female roles? One particular man-hater who attended my ward wrote a nasty letter to our stake president because he had made a statement at a lecture about the role of women in the church that had pissed her off. Rather than standing up to her and telling her that this is church doctrine and that if she didn’t like it, pound sand down a rat hole and join a more liberal church, they let her slide on it? Another hard-core man hater gave all indication that she would marry, have children, be sealed in the temple to fulfill her spiritual obligations, then divorce and take the kids! These are just a few of many examples I could give!

This seems to be the fate of fundamentalist churches that have involved themselves to a large extent in the “Modern World!” The feminist and homosexual agenda have managed to creep in to many of these churches and “rewrite” their doctrine to suit these alternative beliefs? The Mormon Church, a church so powerful that at one time the Mormon Militia held the U.S. Military at bay and kept them from invading the Salt Lake Valley in the 19th century seems to be suffering the same fate that all societies who do not remain patriarchal suffer? As a result, the divorce rate has increased considerably over the past! The only churches that stand a chance of keeping their religion and doctrine intact are those who refrain as much as possible from outside influences, the Amish is one such religion that comes to mind here, although it may be a matter of time before the U.S. Government decides it knows what’s best for them?

Incidentally, for those who have commented previously about the polygamous splinter groups being cults of sexual perversion designed for old guys to have young girls for pleasure, her is a quote from a book written by Irene Spencer, Shattered Dreams: My Life as a Polygamist's Wife, an ex-polygamist who is quite against this way of life so is in a position to be objective on this matter!

“Most polygamists only have intercourse for procreation, so it's a myth that the husbands have a lot sex, she noted. They're taught that living in polygamy is necessary for eternal salvation, and those who don't practice this in the outside world are going to hell”.

Another man in jail for groping women:

Note the "evil" in the link.

These men wish to grope women. The women don't want to be groped. No possible compromise--either the men get what they want, or the women get what they want. No middle ground. Either/or.

Interesting.

Once women and government are given a say in marriage and church, it means the beginning of the end for both institutions.

The LDS and FLDS are worthless.
The muslims have it more right: multiple wives for procreation AND pleasure. That's probably why peeps are converting to them.

Oh and the muslim men defend their rights with force.

Sure there is! There are plenty of women that will allow anybody to grope them. They usually charge by the finger.

starts young:
http://talkingpoint.allaboutyou.com/showthread.php?t=369755

I informed my niece (aged 5) today that there was a baby in my belly and after she ran around screaming with excitement, she promptly informed me that i had to have a girl baby because "boy babies are stupid".

When asked why she said "cos i'm a girl and S (her sister) is a girl and we're really clever and i'm taller than than the boys in my class so boys babies are stupid and all they do is cry".

Bless !!

Anyone have any classic comments they've gotten ???
---------------------

We told my daughter that shes having a little brother and she wasn't too pleased to start with either. She even started saying my sister is her sister because she'd decided that a sister would be preferable. Of course she's also happy to inform us that she'd rather we were getting a puppy than any kind of baby.......
------------------

My five year old neice, after getting over her initial excitement of having a cousin, has told me she doesn't want a cousin if its a boy!
---------------------

One of my colleagues at work (the first one we told when we knew we were pg)'s first reaction was 'let's hope it's a girl!' hoho. Then when we told her that we're having a boy she said 'never mind, I'm sure I can find something blue and sparkly to buy for him!' Bless her.

---------------

A friend of mine recently had a baby boy, but her 2 year old daughter was in complete denial and kept telling everyone she had a little sister. Now she calls him "baby" but still doesn't seem to be able to bring herself to use the word "brother" - guess she'll get there eventually!

Females hate men all their existance.
It's in their genes.

Men grow to love females, but girls never love men.

Those little bitches need a smack across the face for their anti-boy comments, not laughter and happiness at their "cute" comments.

boys grow out of it

Many boys obviously do not grow out of childish habits, especially their instaiable urge to harass, bully and make life miserable for decent people. That's why laws against workplace harassment were enacted and enforced.

Laws against workplace harrasment are in violation of the first ammendments freedom of speech protections; they remove that right from men. Any woman who is infavor of said harrasment and then uses them or has them enforced is a traitor to the republic and should be executed by Men as such. Freedom of speech has no limits on it except those placed by unconstitutional laws by traitors.

Men are in jail because of what they have said to women.

Mikee that's silly. No one goes to jail for words they utter. Rather, they are penalized for deliberate harassment, intentional mental or physical abuse, theft, slander, libel, etc.

Grow up. You cannot do whatever you "feel like".

"Grow up. You cannot do whatever you "feel like"."

Of course not. He's not female. Females are the only ones who get to do whatever they feel like. Isn't that the current definition of "equality?"

"Congress shall make no law... "
That doesn't leave much wiggle room. Either the Constitution is the supreme law of this country, or it's not. An amendment process was included for any changes that need to be made. So far, no amendments altering the first ten, have been ratified.
